My girlfriend and I are booked for an 8-night stay in Spain around Labor Day. We are both in our mid 20's and are flying in and out of Madrid, and are looking for great ideas on where to go / what to do. We have both been to Barcelona so we've decided against going back there. Right now we are thinking 2 nights in Madrid, followed by 2 in Sevilla, a day in Toledo, and the final 2 back in Madrid to continue exploring. Is this overly ambitious, or does it miss out on must-do/see…
We are planning a 25-day trip, our longest ever, starting and ending in Lisbon in November. We're flying into and out of Lisbon and will be concentrating on Southern Spain (never been) and Portugal (never been there, either). WE want to have a sane schedule so we can savor the experience, but I fear I keep adding in too many stops because there's so much we want to see. We'll have a car after the initial days in Lisbon for the rest of the trip. Would be grateful for any itinerary help. Here's…
Just booked a flight from Valencia to Seville with Iberia Airlines through Travelgenio on 5th Sept. Cost $56.00 aus + $21.00 aus cd card fees per person. There was no mention about baggage fees until you paid for the flight and even then it was very confusing. I think the fee is 30.00 euro per checked in bag. Does that sound correct ?
I would like to contact Iberia Airlines directly to clarify the charges but their Sydney office has closed down. Normally…
We are planning on spending 10 days in northern Spain in august, flying in and out from Bilbao. Still doubting between staying in the Basque country (especially Navarra region) or moving on to Asturias. So any tips on these regions are very much welcome :-) what we do know is that we'd like to hire a car in Bilbao. Does anyone have any recommendations for an affordable but reliable company to rent the car?
Thanks in advance,
My sister and I will be in Barcelona on Friday 8th July to celebrate her 30th. Looking to take her out for dinner somewhere nice but not horrendously expensive. Could be anywhere in the city, any type of food....any suggestions?
Hello! Pretty straightforward question: On the 1000-km drive from Barcelona to Granada, what are your recommended handful of places recommended for "pretty pitstops"? e.g. interesting towns to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat, places worth a little detour from the autoway just for a vista, etc. We're allotting 10-11 hours for the drive, even though Google tells us it can be done in 8; hopefully this is enough time for small detours and traffic jams.
Our itinerary is locked in, so please…
Were traveling from Canada to UK in September 2016. Was looking to travel around Oct 5 - 11 to Spain - possibly Palma - really want nice weather/beaches and few pubs if possible. Is Palma right choice?
Thanks so much!
Will be picking up a car for a one-way rental - Madrid to Granada. Will be picking the car up from the Madrid downtown office, which seems reasonably near where we will be staying. Want to drop it off when we arrive in Granada but not sure where to drop it off. The airport seems quite far out of the city - is there a good shuttle service into central Granada from the airport? Any idea how much this will cost? Otherwise taxi, I guess - there are 3 of us. Any idea of the cost of that?
I will be travelling in August to Spain and Paris. The flights for Paris from Barcelona are showing 6.45am on the 28th August I need to travel. I plan to stay in a hostel in the city centre. I read that most of the public transport does not travel to the airport (BCN) this early. I am taking a budget airline and will need to be at the airport at least at 5.30 am I think. I am a female alone traveller
Is it safe to take a cab? Are these highly overpriced?
If I take a night bus/train…
