Lonely Planet review

For the Ferris Wheel ride of your life - with panoramic views from the top of mount Tibidabo mountain - head to this cherished old-fashioned funfair. It's also a museum for old carnival games and gizmos dating back to the 19th century. Follow the funicular to fun.

It has all the usual thrills as well as the remarkable Museu d'Autòmats del Tibidabo, where you can see carnival games and gizmos dating back to the 19th century. One of the scariest attractions is the Krueger Hotel. Enter this house of horrors and be prepared to have your nerves rattled by various ghouls and crims leaping out at you from the darkness. This is one of the main reasons why Barcelonins visit Tibidabo - the funfair has been entertaining kiddies and their parents for years.

Attractions include the Hotel Kruger, an hospedaje of horrors inhabited by actors playing out their Dracula, Hannibal Lecter and other fantasies.
