Lonely Planet review for Elisabets
This unassuming restaurant is popular for no-nonsense local fare. The walls are lined with old radio sets and the menú del día (€10.75) varies daily. If you prefer a la carta, try the ragú de jabalí (wild boar stew) and finish with mel i mató. Those with a late hunger on Friday nights can probably get a meal here as late as 1am.

Great Place to Relax and have a Drink

Great place with local feel. We went in the middle of the afternoon and stayed until dinner. The Sangria was fantastic. Try the tapas here and you won't be disappointed. Great ham croquettes. Nice feel and not too much expense.

Authentic but a bit disappointing
zosia13 recommends this,
Perhaps it was my high expextations after reading the Lonely Planet review, perhaps it's just not my style of dining in an overcrowded, smoky restaurant. I felt slightly disappointed when I leaving this place after a choice of tapas and a refreshing beer. Nothing to say against Elisabets though if you just want that. Certainly, it is a much better choice than the tourist traps along La Rambla, with a more authentic atmosphere, where young locals meet and offering good value for money.
