I know I have been stupid not booking in advance...
The reality is the general ticket to Alhambra Palace has been sold out on the day I plan to visit, April 10th, or 9th or 11th. I heard that the hotel sometime can help. Do you know how likely is it? Will the ticket window always keep some tickets for same day visit so there is possibility that hotel can send someone there very early in the morning (3hrs before ticket window open)?
Is there any other possible way to get the ticket?
I will be spending about 2 weeks in Andalucia in December (flying into Malaga and out of either Malaga or Seville). I've been to Granada, Seville, and Cordoba before (loved them!) and want to spend up to half of my next trip hiking and walking. I'm planning to spend the rest of the time visiting Malaga, Cadiz, Jerez, and a few of the Pueblos Blancos.
I would love some advice on which towns would serve as good bases for moderate day hikes/long walks/bike rides in December. I will be traveling on…
I know that three nights isn't enough, but that's all we have. I have John Brierley's book,
but still I want to know this: is it true that there are buses that can take us to our destination if we can't walk it all?
And two, I want to know is this possible to do without packing a sleeping bag. I understand that the Albergue and other places for walkers don't have sheets. Is this right?
And . . . bedbugs? Should we invest in that protective sheeting?
In one month I will be in Barcelona with my mother. She likes fancy, trendy or particular restaurants so I've done some search and I've found:
La mar salada
Do you know these? Any other hints? Maybe even about peruvian cuisine ;-)
i am planning a trip to Andalucia. I booked the flights to and from Malaga. We will be there during eastern totally 9 nights.
So my plans are:
Going from Malaga Airport to Grenada and stay there for two nights.
Than take to train to Seville and stay there 4 nights. Take the train to Malaga for the other 3 nights.
On the way from Seville to Malaga we could make a stop at Cordoba. My aunt wants to visit Vejer de la Frontera. Perhaps an option would be to take a rental car in Seville and…
Hi, (first time poster)
I have recently booked a trip to Portugal (Porto 4 nights, Lisbon 4 nights, and Albuferia 3 nights) and Spain (Sevile 3 nights, Granada 2 nights, Madrid 3 nights [weekend], Valencia 3 nights, Barcelona 5 nights [passes through a weekend].
This is basically my itinerary for my upcoming trip near the end of May (excluding daya trips out to Sintra, Portugal [from lisbon] or Toledo, Spain[ from madrid]). The basis of this trip is to mainly expeirence culture…
We are flying into Madrid Barajas airport and leaving via the Atocha train station the next afternoon. Looking for recommendations on a neighborhood that would be convieninet between the two or near Atocha. We get in at 10PM on a Saturday so hopefully an area that has some nightlife and food past midnight. Also would be interested in walking around an interesting area the next morning. Any suggestions on a place to stay would be appreciated. Thanks
I would enter Barcelona from Paris on 5th May. later I plan to travel to Velencia, Granada, Seville and Madrid. Return from Madrid on 15th May. I don't mind taking flights to destinations or local transport whichever is cheaper (options would be helpful). Is 10 days enough for this trip? I was thinking on 3.5 days for Barcelona. Please suggest a detailed trip plan. I would travel with my wife and we both don't mind some days of hectic schedule.
