Dear fellow travellers,
Me, my wife and our baby on one, are travelling through Spain and Portugal in july by car. This is the plan so far:
Day 1: Madrid - Toledo (this stretch we have to do since we leave from Madrid in the evening)
Day 2: Toledo - Caceres
Day 3: Caceres - Estoril (Cascais)
Day 6: Estoril - Lagos
Day 9: Lagos - Cadiz (stop in Sevilla)
Day 12: Cadiz - Malaga
We would like to spend as much time near the ocean and a nice beach if possible. We enjoy good food and wine and have a…
**Hi happy cyclists...and travellers who've been to the White Villages of Andalucia. My husband and I are wondering if you have any information about cycling around this region. There are tour companies that organise self guided bike rides but we thought we should be brave and organise our own. Can you help us out with ideas for accommodation, bike hire and transfers and where to go?
A group of friends and I are planing a trip to Portugal & Spain this fall. There are 4 of us in all. We plan to end our trip in Barcelona, traveling there from Granada. Has anyone done this trip by train? I understand there is an overnight train, and was hoping we could get a sleeper compartment together (couchette). How far in advance should we book this? Most of the rail web sites I've tried don't show schedules or prices this far in advance.
Ok I'm heading to Spain for the first two weeks in August. Aussie girl, early 30s will have been in the UK for the two weeks prior. I'm looking for good food, sun/beaches, some culture/history, scenery and just some downtime. I like just wandering through cities, markets, food, people watching etc. I'm planning on doing some cooking classes either in San Seb or Barcelona.
I'm coming down from Edinburgh and plans are roughly as follows:
Sun 2nd Aug: Fly Edinburgh-Madrid. (Madrid for…
I will be in Barcelona from 4th to 8th July and looking for a skydiving buddy. I have shortlisted empuria brava as the location and a tandem jump is costing 160 Euros with discount.
Let me know if anyone will be interested. Kindly reply to this thread instead of sending a PM.
Hi, we are going to Barcelona for a month this summer, and would like to do some hiking in the pyrenees. We´re thinking 3-4 days. Does anyone have any suggestions to where we should start? We probably won´t have a car, so it needs to be accessible by public transport. Is it possible to walk form cabin to cabin, or should we bring a tent? Or should we just stay at one place, and do day trips?
i am going to barcelona and then san sebastian, where else would you go ? i am leaving in couple of days for 3 weeks total. i am totally free and have no accommodation planned except for those two cities .
i am thinking it would be logical to stay up north and go west.
how about el camino?
I'm a U.S. citizen looking to possibly travel to Spain, this August 2015. I want to buy a one-way ticket, but was told that borders in Spain might hassle me without a round-trip ticket-proving my departure from Spain within 90 days. Is this true? Or can I enter with a one-way ticket, saying that I am not sure when (within the 90 days) I will leave Spain?
Myself and two friends(all in our early 30's)are currently in Murcia enjoying the sun and planning to hire a car and travel to Granada on Friday. Going to spend two/three nights there and then travel to the coast maybe Malaga, Nerja,?? We fly out of Murcia July 10th so only have a week from Friday. Would like to visit some small spanish towns and experience the culture, tapas etc but would like a bit of nightlife also. After Granada any suggestions of where to stay? Was thinking maybe Nerja…
Would 1.5 hours be enough of a connection time if I am landing in Madrid-Barajas Airport on Qatar at 14.00 Terminal 4, and have an Air Europa flight that leaves at 15.30 from Terminal 1. I will not have checked baggage and have looked at the history of the Qatar flight which has a good record of being on time. I can also check-in online and print the boarding pass beforehand. I'm hoping the airport wont be busy at that time.
Please let me know if this is doable.
Many thanks in…
