Lonely Planet review for Gorki

A popular upmarket tapas bar with pavement tables and a modern interior full of wine-barrel tables and stools. Creative tapas have a more sevillano twist and the clientele is young and trendy.

To Know Gorki is to Love Gorki

    bardvos recommends this,

I came to Gorki for the first time 2 years ago, introduced to it by my girlfriend. It was high summer and it had been a very warm day. At 9.30 in the evening we were lucky to find a table outside and we ordered some red wine for me and some cava (sparkling white wine) for for my girlfriend. I drank a beautiful house rioja which was exactly the right temperature. Then we set out to study the extensive tapas menu. We opted for a few bocadillos (little breadrolls) filled with a variety of delicacies such as camembert cheese, grilled onion rings, lomo (ham) and bacon and dates. Just excellent. Additionally we ordered a selection of canapes topped with salmon pate, jamon serrano (local ham), egg and mushrooms. Whilst eating all these little bites of different tastes, we enjoyed watching the Malagueños parade through the street mixed with many tourists. We ordered some more wine from the excellent waiter and sat there until the early hours. I was hooked and it is without a doubt one of my favourite places in Malaga to eat, drink and enjoy.
