An old-world Italianite coffee/ice-cream bar that serves as Málaga’s top confitería (sweets and pastries shop) , Lepanto is insanely popular probably because most of its sweets and pastries are highly addictive. Enjoy them in the art nouveau embellished interior, being served by athletic waiters in waistcoats.

    Looks great, shame about the ignorant staff

    Walked past this cafe several times and thought it looked a great cafe, with a good selection of cakes and a great people watching location. But then the waiter arrived. He managed to take our order for drinks without saying a word and didn't give me time to order our cakes. He arrived with our drinks a plonked them on the table and walked off, again before I could order a cake. I went inside and chose my cakes and was given a ticket to give to the waiter who would bring them. He snatched it off me without saying a word. As we were finishing I saw an old Spanish couple looking for a seat so offered them mine and went over to the waiter for the bill. He was very put out by the fact I had left my seat without first paying and grumpily told a woman inside to give me my bill. I paid without tipping naturally. Not sure he likes tourists. The Cava was nice as was the coffee.

    The cafe is on Calle Larios, in the Historic Center .
    The serving is exquisite, workers are dressed in uniform, their furniture, both inside and outside on the street is quite good, its interior is nice. Have a nice variety of sweets that can be taken with coffee or afternoon snack, you can also ask for what you want because it is simply running a cafeteria.
