We will travel for 2 week from Biarritz to Bilbao and then to Barcelona (Pamplona, Ordessa, Sierra de Guara, ...) with a camper and two kids (7 and 9 years old).
Can anyone help me with:
- what can't we miss with the kids
- nice hikes who are not too difficult
- places to stand with the camper, nice campings in the area?
- canyoning with the kids: where and with which company?
Thanks in advance!!!
My fiance and I will be in Barcelona mid-October and as part of our itinerary we'll be taking a day trip to Pals. We'll have a rented car for the day and I'd like to hear from you guys as to what the most worthwhile inland and coastal routes are as we'd like to avoid doubling-back as much as possible. Soo.... questions...

Does anyone know how crowded Barcelona gets for La Merce festival (around September 24)? Do many people come from out of town into Barcelona for the weekend? Would it be a fun time to be there or is it a headache -- are hotels booked out, restaurants and museums very crowded, etc? Is it family-friendly or more like a huge, loud party 24/7 (we have a baby)?
Similarly, how crowded does San Sebastian get for the Film Festival (September 22-30)? We were planning to go there that week but I am…
I haven't been to Tarifa in a while and would like an update from fellow travelers on good restaurants. When I used to go there on a regular basis, my favourites were :
- Casa Juan (specialized in ham and pork)
- La Mandragora
- La Sacristia
- La Casa Amarilla
- El Ecocenter
- El Berebar (on the Playa de los Lances)
Are they still as good as they used to be ? Otherwise, do you have any places to recommend (preferably local food, of course) ? I've had a look on TripAdvisor but…
I am a Canadian living in Spain on a Youth Mobility Visa. I found employment but was told I could not be hired because I do not have a work permit.
Has anyone experienced this before? I called the Canadian Consulate and was told that I do not need a Visa.
Me and a friend are planning a trip in Andalusia in the beginning of September, for about 10 days. Our rough itienary is;
Granada (2 days)
Cordoba (1 day)
Sevilla (2 or 3 days)
Malaga (2 or 3 days)
Cadiz (not sure, maybe 2 or 3 days)
Because our time is limited, we would like to plan every single detail in advance. We are considering the "rent a car", "train" and "bus" options.
What suggestions would you give me about travelling between these cities? Our concerns are;
- We prefer to rent a…
Hi! So I'm very, very new to this and it will be my first time traveling abroad! I'm going to Spain for 3 months // 90 days (maybe even a few days less than 90) to be an au pair for a wonderful family starting August 22nd, 2017 until November 15th (around then). I have no intention of staying for longer than the initial 90 days, I'm a twenty-three year old girl...will I need a return ticket in order to enter the country? I've read so many different things and I'm so nervous because I have…
We just returned from our first trip to Spain and had an amazing time. We visited Madrid (day trip to Segovia), Seville, Granada and Barcelona. So many highlights but we particularly loved Segovia, Seville and Granda for the historical sights and charm (and not as urban)!
My wife and I are already planning our next trip for mid-June 2018. We are looking for less traveling, fewer destinations .... a balance of adventure/sight seeing and relaxation in Andalusia. About 10 Nights. Though we…
