Hi all good people! My girlfriend and I plan to spend a week south of Barcelona in mid October. I have read so many tips on where to stay and what to do, so now I'm just confused. :) Tarragona, Sitges, Calafell, Reus, Salou all seem nice..
We are bringing our 7 months old daughter, so we won't do party party (we're in our early 30's), but I get restless if there's nothing to do. We like nice cities (small and large), great beaches, restaurants.. the standard stuff :)
Would anyone be so kind to…
I'm moving to Spain with my mom and young daughter for several months to work in one of Spain's top restaurants. I'm having a lot of trouble obtaining a Spanish visa, or rather just getting the appointment to obtain the visa. All my other paperwork is complete and ready to go. Has anyone run into this issue before? I have appointments at both the French consulate in San Francisco and Spanish consulate in Los Angeles before I could even snag an appointment in San Francisco. Keep in mind these…
So finally i am getting done with my post-graduation next March'18, and i will finally be able to travel to Spain in April'18(Which has been a childhood dream!). I want to stay there for around a month and possibly even watch Real Madrid play at the Santiago Bernebeau!!
I would really appreciate if any local can guide me a little regarding what will be the approximate expenses, given that i plan to couchsurf or stay at hostels? And any general information i can get about the…
Me (Indian girl) and my Spanish boyfriend are planning to marry in India. We both are working in the UK. We both need to go to India. I have my Indian passport and I can easily travel to India. But my boyfriend is having Spanish passport and is working in the UK. I am not sure what visa he will need to travel to India to marry me. Please if someone can help me. Will it be e-visa for Tourist or some special category of visa?
I am from the UK and studied [Castilian] Spanish in school. Having just come back from travels in South America, I'd like to go to Spain to take some lessons, try and improve my fluency and just soak up life there for a bit before trying to settle down into work at home.
I've spent some time reading previous threads on here and other articles online, and have settled on Madrid as a safe option, considering the people have more 'textbook' accents and do not predominantly speak another language…
We will travel for 2 week from Biarritz to Bilbao and then to Barcelona (Pamplona, Ordessa, Sierra de Guara, ...) with a camper and two kids (7 and 9 years old).
Can anyone help me with:
- what can't we miss with the kids
- nice hikes who are not too difficult
- places to stand with the camper, nice campings in the area?
- canyoning with the kids: where and with which company?
Thanks in advance!!!
My fiance and I will be in Barcelona mid-October and as part of our itinerary we'll be taking a day trip to Pals. We'll have a rented car for the day and I'd like to hear from you guys as to what the most worthwhile inland and coastal routes are as we'd like to avoid doubling-back as much as possible. Soo.... questions...

Does anyone know how crowded Barcelona gets for La Merce festival (around September 24)? Do many people come from out of town into Barcelona for the weekend? Would it be a fun time to be there or is it a headache -- are hotels booked out, restaurants and museums very crowded, etc? Is it family-friendly or more like a huge, loud party 24/7 (we have a baby)?
Similarly, how crowded does San Sebastian get for the Film Festival (September 22-30)? We were planning to go there that week but I am…
