Lonely Planet review
A beautiful hanok, but like hanbok (traditional dress), it’s not super comfortable. Rooms are small and bathrooms are shared, but the historical ambience is priceless. Guesthouse-style communal facilities are available, as are dyeing and sewing lessons (W25,000). Staff usually depart at 6pm, so warn them if you may arrive later than that.
Our independent authors have visited Bukchon Guesthouse and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Gwanghwamun.
