Lonely Planet review for Busan Metropolitan Art Museum
Busan frowns upon bourgeois pursuits like art and urban design, so it isn't surprising that the arts scene is, well, lacking. The Busan Metropolitan Art Museum is hardly a must-see but it does come in handy during typhoon season when you need a place to escape the rain. Line 2 to Metro Art Museum station, Exit 5, and walk 150m.

Disappointing with a capital D
ciderboy does not recommend this,
This art museum isn't disappointing due to the quality of art, as it has some interesting Korean traditional and contemporary pieces, but is disappointing due to it's lack of pieces. At the time of my visit the entire first floor (Korean 2nd floor) was empty, and seeing as there are only three floors there is a distinct lack of art to look at. There were signs of creating new exhibits in closed off rooms, but for the casual purveyor of art and tourists, stay on the metro for a couple more stops and enjoy the fresh air and golden sand of Haeundae beach, it's great aquarium and possibly catch a roundtrip ferry cruise around the bay, taking in the city from the sea.
