While actually in Gyeongsamnam-do, Haeinsa is most easily accessed by bus (W4000, 1½ hours, every 30 minutes) from Daegu’s Seobu terminal. The subway connects Seobu terminal to Dongdaegu station, making it (if you are unbelievably crazy and enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn) a possible day trip from Seoul. Most people will want to plan an overnight in Daegu.
