Hey guys,

Hey guys, my name is One who is currently staying in Korea.
It can be a lot of fun traveling around Korea, but sometimes you feel like you need a translator or a guide to make your time more worthwhile.
And that is what I am here for!
If you need someone who can translate from Korean to English or show you all the cool spots in Seoul, please send me a PM.
I lived aboard for many years which makes me fluent in Korean and in English, and since I a native, I will be able to show you all the cool spots…

Just had a conference in Seoul, including a workshop on Muuido Island, at the Homeplus Academy, aka "Tesco" by the locals. Was looking for a place to stay for one night before the return flight. Stayed at the Galley Pub / guesthouse owned by David (from South Africa) and his Korean wife Eun Mee.
It was an absolutely awsome stay...very reasonable room rate, meticulously clean rooms, extremely friendly, relaxed, welcoming hosts.
Definitely the better choice compared to the airport hotels on Incheon…

In 2014 I spent a year living in Seoul, during which time I trained the Korean Martial Art of Taekkyon. Taekkyon is the original native martial art of Korea, if you are interested in reading more about it, check out my website (which BTW focuses mostly on Chinese martial arts)

Wifi woes

I will be making a round trip with a few mates to Taiwan, Japan then Korea. Is it easy to find free wifi there on the go? It will be a kinda spontaneous trip and we plan on leaving the city to expore with GPS. I don't want to get SIM cards as I mainly communicate through twitter or skype anyway. Would it be safer to rent routers with unlimited wifi we can split. There are so many router rental sites to choose from in each country, anyone has good recommendations in terms of coverage/ price? Or…

Hey, my family is heading to Seoul for a week. Is it easy to find and connect to free internet on the go there? Or should we get individual SIM cards with data plans/ wifi routers? Never used routers before so I am unsure about how effective they are, but i have heard that they are cheaper and have better coverage. If so, anyone has good recommendations for wifi router rental (from Australia)?

In January next year I along with a group of other friends are planning a trip for 14 days in Korea. We'll start of by arriving in Incheon, then going practically straight to Jeju Island for the first four days.

Everyone who's going will be between 19 and 17 years old at the time, and we will all still be on provisional Licenses (is that an Australian thing? I don't know...) so we're not sure if we can hire a car + nobody wants to drive on the other side of the road. So we're planning to take…

My flight should arrive around 9,30pm in Seoul on a Friday night for only 4 nights, its my first time in Seoul and i am traveling alone. I would like to get into the city and go to an easy to find hotel and hopefully have a few drinks that nights when i arrive. I was thinking to stay near Seoul station at K-pop hotel as its easy to find, but now think i better stay in Itaewon for some bars when i arrive. Hamilton hotel looks a good landmark for the first night although a bit pricey. Can anyone…
