Train

Daejeon train station, in the centre of the city, serves the main line between Seoul and Busan, and all trains en route to either city stop there. Seodaejeon station, in the west of the city, serves the lines to Mokpo and Yeosu.

Superfast KTX trains (W19, 500, 55 minutes, every 30 minutes), Saemaul trains (express, W13, 900, 1¾ hours, hourly) and Mugunghwa trains (semi-express, W9300, two hours, every 40 minutes) run from Seoul station to Daejeon.

Air

The nearest airport is Cheongju, 60km north of Daejeon in Chungcheongbuk-do, which is linked to Daejeon by bus (W3200, 45 minutes, five daily).
