Getting there & away
Take local bus 311 or 302 (W1250, 50 minutes, hourly) from outside Cheongju intercity bus terminal to Munui, 15km south of Cheongju. Walk out of Munui bus depot, turn left, and in a couple of minutes you reach the parking lot and ticket office for the shuttle buses (W2000 return, 15 minutes) to Cheongnamdae, which operate between 9am and 4.30pm.
