Retro’s Pub
- Ancud, Chile
- Restaurants › Pub
This cozy spot rides the fence between restaurant and pub, serving up the usual suspects plus Tex–Mex, killer burgers and a small veggie menu (though we’re not sure what the chicken Caesar salad is doing there). As far as bars go, this is the town classic for an atmospheric drink, a pretty perfect spot in light of the weather.

Tata's Pub
It doesn't look like much, but this long thin pub, with '80s music videos blaring, serves surprisingly good food: especially Chilean rabbit and goat dishes, as well as pizza and burgers.

Chester
Everyone likes the booths, polished brass and dark wood of a British-style pub, but it doesn’t transmit quite the same coziness when the bar is the size of a tractor warehouse. Nevertheless, this place is popular and offers decent-quality but very overpriced meals and drinks. It gets busy and lively on Friday nights.

Blumen
With one of the widest menus in town, Blumen serves up good, tasty, if slightly expensive, dishes. It’s a great spot for a few drinks – the huge shady beer garden is all wooden tables and pagodas, with plenty of space in between and the microbrew beer flowing readily.

La Taberna
- Nazca, Peru
- Restaurants › Pub
It’s a hole-in-the-wall place: the scribbles covering every inch of wall are a testament to its popularity. Try the spicy fish, challengingly named ‘ Pescado a lo Macho ’ (‘macho fish’) or choose from a list of vegetarian options.

Map Room
A cozy little pub-restaurant with a good range of beers and some interesting menu items. The American breakfast (AR$28) is the real thing – a real belly-buster. Check out the ‘after work’ happy hours, when beers are half price.

Expresso
This place is more of a bar than a restaurant, but its menu of Brazilian-style pub grub will sate you when you get the munchies. Plus, it has a pleasant, shady terrace and two-for-one happy-hour specials.

Trapiche
- Tefé, Brazil
- Restaurants › Pub
A short moto-taxi ride from the center will get you to this small pizza joint and bar, where the service is slow but the pizza is worth the wait. Cold beer and cool music help the wait go faster.

- Restaurants › Pub
A favorite with British expats, this family-run kitchen dishes up a rainbow of Indian curries and desserts, along with enough artery-choking pub grub to chase those homesick daydreams away.

Camelot
Here's some geographical confusion for you - an Irish pub in the middle of Argentina named after an English castle. Still…the food's good and the Guinness is cold, so who cares?
