Lonely Planet review

If you’d rather be out of town under the soaring skies of the Karoo, this 4000-hectare sheep farm is an excellent option. Renovated kraals have been transformed into luxurious boutique-style rooms with stone walls and sisal ceilings. A self-catering cottage that sleeps six goes for R820. Meals are served (breakfast R35, dinner R50) in a rustic-frontier dining room.
