Lonely Planet review for Café 41
A beautifully designed bistro-style restaurant serving Mediterranean fare from an extensive menu (the great big meze platters are good value). There’s a large outdoor deck, and a hidden section that makes you forget you’re in a shopping village. Service is a little on the slow side though.

Interesting food at reasonable prices in a great atmosphere
helentb recommends this,
Cafe 41 is set in the leafy, suburb of Arcadia. Not too far from the centre inner city or the busy student suburb of Hatfield with its clubs, Arcadia is a quieter alternative to either of these. This eating house offers a very wide variety of dishes that are interesting, offering clever and tasty food combinations. There is plenty of choice here; and Cafe 41 offers a fair variety of vegetarian dishes, which are not always easily available in South Africa. It's in a small shopping mall, and a good place to visit while you are in the vicinity is the Pretoria Art Museum . Cafe 41 is a popular eating place, with a casual atmosphere and artisitic decor. You can enjoy the decor inside or sit outside; but beware, because it's popular, it's sometimes crowded and if you come by car, parking can be hard to find. Service at peak times can also be a bit slow. Food is reasonably priced.
