Lonely Planet review for Moyo’s
The ‘Africa chic’ decor (Moroccan souq–style seating areas, African artefacts, candles glowing in alcoves) and entertainment (face-painters, musicians) of this busy chain is certainly crowd-pleasing, if a little touristy. Food here is pan-African with everything from Algerian chicken to Tanzanian fish curry and is good, if not exactly authentic. There’s also a top-notch wine list for oenoophiles.

the best place for weekend brunch in Jo'berg. period.

I'll review the Zoo Lake location here - it doesn't get better than this for weekend brunch. The outdoor courtyard is the place to sit, where you can order a breakfast cocktail (don't judge me!), fresh juice and delicious brunch fare. A local band was playing traditional music for patrons to enjoy - we liked them so much we bought a CD. After lingering for an inordinately long time in the courtyard - we didn't want to leave - we strolled out along the lake and enjoyed the views and the sunshine. As we drove away, we noticed huge numbers of teenagers surrounding the farther edge of the park, dressed to the nines, hanging out of their cars and blasting hip hop music for all the world to hear. We asked a local colleague about this later, and apparently, Zoo Lake is the place to be and be seen if you're that age in Jo'berg on a Sunday afternoon...

Ambient, visually stunning, inspiring; beats and eats all in the same venue. North, south, east, west, upstairs downstairs, worth going just to check it out. Heaven for all palates and tastes. Long overdue and a must-see for every visitor to Jozi. If you want to try something different whether you're adventurous or not (careful thought is put into all styles) , if you want to try real South African food, if you want to experience South Africa in one place, you HAVE to put some time away for this adventure in town. From the themed decor to the entertainment to the exquisite food, WOZA!
