Lonely Planet review

The displays and star shows at the Planetarium, attached to the South African Museum, unravel the mysteries of the southern hemisphere’s night sky. Call or check the website for times of daily shows using images caught by the Southern African Large Telescope in the Karoo (which has the largest aperture of any telescope in the world); there’s a kids’ show at noon daily.
