Cape Town Science Centre information
The opening of this fun hands-on science centre was delayed slightly in 2011 when it was discovered that the building it occupies is a rare Cape Town example of the work of Modernist architect Max Policansky. The original bones of the architecture have largely been preserved and the revived space is a great place to bring kids for attractions such as the giant gyroscope (R5 extra), a room full of Lego, and a replica of the Soyuz capsule that returned South African tech billionaire Mark Shuttleworth to earth after his trip to the International Space Station.
