Tourists, TV stars and locals gather at this vibey butchery serving Cape Town’s tastiest grilled meat. It’s all DIY. First buy your meat, and make sure you get them to add their special sauce. Take it to the kitchen to be braaied (barbecued) and then find a table outside – it gets very busy at weekends. Beers and other drinks are available from vendors nearby. Bring plenty of napkins as cutlery is nonexistent.

    The BEST place for traditional southern african cuisine!

    If you want to eat REAL african food in a REAL african environment, come here. It's pretty well known but its filled with locals. Local bands play, local families have huge events here. It's just incredible and the food is AMAZING. Be sure to bring plates and napkins if you're into keeping tidy - wet naps especially. There is a little hut across the street that sells soda, water, and other drinks as well as cups to drink out of! If you are in Cape Town, you MUST go here. This should be top 10 things to do in CPT.
