Hi travellers,

Following the recent tragedy in Tunisia, we've put together some info on the situation that may prove helpful if you are currently travelling in, or thinking of travelling to, the country.

What’s going on?

On Friday 26 June, at least one gunman opened fire on tourists staying in the popular resort of Port El Kantaoui, just north of Sousse in Tunisia. Thirty-eight people, at least 30 of them British, lost their lives. Islamic State (IS) has said it was behind the attack, during…

I would appreciate any advice on prices and how much you are able to haggle them down.
I've read some tourists reports from holidays in Tanzania and I have impression many people just accept any price they are given.

Example? I've read many opinions that a taxi from Stone Town port to Nungwi is around 60usd, and if you get $50 it's really good. We got the offer of $60 from the place we're going to stay and after saying we're going to come on our own, the price dropped to $40.

So if you've…

[cross-posted in kids to go]

I would like to share our very unpleasant experience with Royal Air Maroc on our trip to Morocco in February this year. We - me, my partner and nearly 2 year old daughter - had booked a direct flight Berlin-Casablanca-Berlin.

Check-in in Berlin-Tegel was chaotic. Although we arrived extra early there was already a huge crowd (not queue) waiting with carts on which the baggage was piled up high. On previous flights with another airline we were asked to come forward…

Hi,

We'll be in Zanzibar this August for only 3 days. Any recommendations for fun, unique activities or "must-see" destinations nearby?

Thanks!
