Hello, I will be in TZ for 10days in this August.
I wonder how long it would take to transfer from domestic airlines to international airlines at Dar es salaam Airport.
After my journey in TZ, I am going to take auric air from zanzibar and take etihad and go back to my country. Do they use same airport(Julius Nyerere International Airport)? How long does it take to domestic airport to international airport? Is there any transportation between them?
Arrival time of Auric Air to Dar is 9:55 AM and…

Hi,
we are having a bit of hard time finding a fully equipped 4x4 for our trip to SA/Botswana/Namibia for 4 weeks in August. (I know its a bit late, but we are trying to flexible :) ).
The only rental offer I have been able to get until now is a Mitsubishi 4WD 5-Sleeper from wickedafrica. Price wise they are actually quite competitive.
Googling wickedcampers, results in many bad reviews though. Mainly the state of the cars seems to be bad at times and customer service also doesn't appear to be…

Hiking Trip

Hi All,

I've been in Cape Town for a couple months and recently got my 3 month visa extension. I'm starting to plan a huge hiking trip starting with the Otter Trail at the end of this month. After that, I'm thinking the Wild Coast and Drakensberg. I'm looking for some 1st hand information on the Wild Coast and Drakensberg. Anyone have experience with these? Anyone tackled the Drakensberg Traverse? If so, any information in regards to joining a group or hiring a guide?

Thanks in advance!

So I was planning to squeeze in a small side trip to Victoria Falls between my time in JNB and days spent at Kruger but thinking this can't be done without some stress... is this even a good idea or feasible?

08/29 11 am flight to Livingstone, arrive 1pm - check out Victoria falls
08/30 Early morning - check out more of Vic Falls, Catch 1:30 pm flight back to JNB

Seems like a waste to go all the way there and not partake in any other activities like whitewater on the Zambezi etc. which i've…

This is information for anybody considering a trip to Zimbabwe right now, based on our experience on the ground. There is a serious cash crisis in the country and it is virtually impossible for people without a Zimbabwe bank account to obtain US dollars. This means virtually every foreign traveller. Don't pretend it will be OK. Arrive with all the dollars you need to survive and enjoy your trip, including tours. Zimbabwe is a cash culture, and you will be severely restricted if you think that…

Outside chance I might go to a conference in Langebaan end of next April. I'd fly to Cape Town and stay there a couple of days (recommendations? I love museums and nature) and drive up - is that ok? I'm keen to see a bit of the country, but not run around too much - never been to RSA before. Figure I can go back :D
Conference will be three days and I think I'd stay a further three days and then would be flying to Johannesburg for a couple of weeks work. Wondering if there's a two-three day…
