I need your help!!. From the 2nd November till the 24th I will be travelling to Mozambique by myself. I've already bought the plane ticket: Barcelona-Maputo-Barcelona and my plan is from Maputo fly to Pemba and then going down through the Indian coast taking local transport. Places to visit? Quirimbas, island of Mozambique, Nampula to Cuamba by train, Bazaruto archipelago & Inhambane.
However there is a problem which I haven't thought at all: it's the security. I've read online…
We want to travel with our two kids (10 and 7) to Morocco in the Christmas Holidays. Probably from 27 dec to 2 jan. Flying in to Rabat, out from Fes.
I understand the weather will not be ideal. Around 15 Celsius in the day and cold in the evening and nights. We are aware of this :-)
So we have one week and are uncertain about how to divide our time. Thinking of staying in Rabat, Meknes and Fes. Travelling by train between these cities. Willing to rent a car for daytrips if needed.
After a climbing trip to the Atlas region, I’m planning to spend 3-4 days in Marrakech at the end of December.
I’m looking for a small cozy guest house with a nice atmosphere, not one of those mega hostels housing a zillion people craving for booze and party (I guess I’m getting too old) which seem to be sprouting mostly everywhere. A dorm bed style may suffice. It doesn't have to be the cheapest place.
I haven’t been able to find such a place as yet.
Thanks in advance for your…
I guess this question has been asked several times already but I seriously can't find the answer :/ oops!
Well, I want to volunteer in Africa to be more precise in Countries such as Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia and/or South Africa (orphanages).
I was kinda surprised when I saw the prices of these programs. Why do organizations ask for such an amount of money when a) I would be volunteering and b) I would rather invest that money buying things that could be used by the kids.
I have since a couple of weeks been researching the internet including the chat forum here at Thorn tree. I managed to get some contact through to LIBYA Tourism II Open4you on Facebook. They referred me to TEMEHU and their website. Here I have not heard a beep for 3 weeks. Does anyone have ANY suggestions on how to go about applying for and getting a visa to Libya these days. I have heard a Business Visa is the only possible option - so be it - but whom to contact? I have also been able to…
I'm looking for advice / opinions / experiences.
I've travelled a fair bit in the Middle East (Turkey, Jordan, Iran, Syria back when it was peaceful) but aside from a week in Dahab, I've never really travelled in North Africa. Am keen to go, Tunisia looks interesting, and it's cheap at the moment.
I'm looking to take my parents (never travelled with them before) as I am keen to get them outside Europe. My Dad loves Roman ruins, my Mum loves Middle Easter and Mediterranean food, and keeping it…
Hi, I will be in Sambava end of October to visit Marojejy NP. I´m flying in but not want to fly back because of expensive flights.
From there I want to go to Daraina. After Daraina I'm a little unsure what to do next. Eventually I want to visit Morondava (boababs), Ranomafana NP and Mantadia NP. I have 30 days in Mada.
What is the best option to go from Daraina back to Tana (apart from flying) and continue my journey ?
Thanks in advance
I am planning on visiting Ouagadougou this weekend, crossing overland from Ghana (Tamale). Ideally, I would like to cross in my Ghanaian registered car.
Does anyone know what paper work is required, how much it costs and whether having diplomatic number plates makes a difference?
