I will be flying into Mswati airport in a few days and will need transport to Ndlovu Camp at Hlane National Park. Is that easy enough to arrange on arrival at the airport. I know very few flights land at the airport and I wasn't sure if taxis are always available. I imagine that any shuttles or minibuses might be heading in the opposite direction towards Mbabane/Manzini.
Is there a way to arrange a transfer in advance? I contacted the park but they weren't much help. Thanks.
We recently travelled through Botswana & had a not so fun experience with the Police at the Foot & Mouth checkpoint located 60km north of Nata or 240km south of Kasane. Here's how it played out so hopefully other traveller can avoid the same issue.
When you arrive at the Foot & Mouth checkpoints there will be two 'Stop' signs, make sure you stop at both even if there is a police officer standing at the second 'Stop' sign waving you to come forward. Stop at both of them. We did this, however…
Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to Ethiopia in september.
We were thinking of flying to Addis Ababa in the beginning of september and then travel around the country for three or four weeks: visiting some of the main tourist attractions but also travel a bit off the beaten track. (incl. Addis, Lalibela, Simien Mountains, Harar, Lower Omo valley)
Now we are wondering how the rain will affect our trip.
Should we worry about that? Does it make the travelling difficult or…
Can anyone tell me how long the visa process takes for a visa to Tanzania from the consulate in Lusaka or can I get one on arrival at Kasanga port as I want to travel up the lake to Kigoma. Thank you. Obdulia.
My name is Amanda and I'm 23 years old from Sweden. I'm about to go visit my friend who's studying in a small village about 2 hrs from Johannesburg. We both really want to see South Africa when there so we would love to do a road trip from the Johannesburg area to Cape town around the 3 or 4th of July. The problem is that I won't have time to make my drivers license international and my friend doesn't have a license, therefore I'm posting here to see if there might be one or two cool…
I should have written this ages ago - just wanted to give a shout out to Drive Botswana who were fantastic arranging our trip last summer. We are a Canadian family of 4 (two adults, two kids aged (then)9 & 11) and after looking on Thorntree, contacting numerous companies, considering some self-drive and some tour options, eventually we settled on working with Drive Botswana to arrange our tour. Amazing.
We flew into Jo-burg, travelled north through eastern Botswana with our Hilux and…
On my second trip to Madagascar from Aug. 22 to Oct. 5 and after visiting the South - Toliara and Port Dauphin - I am considering the following
07/09 Ampefy - Moramanga just to catch the SOA train next day; skip Andasibe
08/09 Moramanga 14:00 - 20:30 Ambila; is it reasonable to use the train?
08 - 11/09 Ambila; Accomodation? Nirvana d'Ambilas has differing comments
11 - 14/09 ---> Manambato; how to get there? I think taxi? Bgl. Las Arcadias?
14 - 17/09 ---> Lac Ampitabe by privat boat? Nice…
