I'm planning to go to the south of Africa in November and December.
I plan to stay about 2 months, but it could be longer since I have 6 months sabatical.
I don't know anyone who traveled there, hence I don't have a clue which country is better to visit.
Please let me know your preferred choices for countries to visit...and why...between:
1) Tanzania; 2) Zambia; 3)Zimbabwe; 4) South Africa and 5) Namibia.
Where is the best safari (hard question)? Any advice, suggestion will be more…
I have been thinking that renting a bike would be a good way to get around Capetown for the few days that I am there.I have been trying to find good/recommended bike routes online that might take in a few sights but I'm not coming up with much.Would bikes be easily available to rent?Chapman's Peak drive looks worth a cycle definitely. The cape of good hope might be too ambitious.Where would be the best place to get a view of Table Mountain maybe? They all look lovely but I only have a…
I am doing an 8 day intrepid safari from Nairobi, mostly concentrated in northern Tanzania. We are doing game drives in the Serengeti (3) and Ngorongoro Crater (1). I know December is the time of "short rains", I was wondering how much would this interfere with seeing animals? Is there any chance none would be seen?
Was recently in Tanzania and chose TroPeaks (Daniel and Thomas)as my company because of good reviews on here. I tried to post on tropeaks thread but it's locked by the moderator.
I emailed them and was very impressed with the speed of their response. We agreed pick up from airport to start Kili the day after arrival 31st of July with a group, then safari with another group and they'd drop me off at airport (I was on very short schedule). I also didnt want to do either alone.
Can anyone please recommend a Soweto and Apartheid Museum tour? I have emailed a couple but have had no replies. I will only have 1 1/2 days in Johannesburg so would prefer to book in advance. Also prefer to be picked up from my hostel.
Thanks in advance!
I'm travelling to Uganda soon and was wandering what is the best way to get from Fort Portal to the Murchison falls NP?
Everywhere I searched it seems the recommendation is to go back to Kampala and then to Murchison Falls, but I'm hoping the roads or something have changed since, and would rather go straight from A to B...
Does anyone have a recommendation?
