Hey all,

I'm a solo gal heading to the Seychelles and Zanzibar for a little over two weeks with more time on Zanzibar, and I was hoping to receive a little a advice. Any suggestions on where/which islands to stay, what must I see and do, and any cultural considerations I should be aware of. I realize I am going to the ultimate honeymoon destination solo, but the main thing I worry about is that single supplemental charge, LOL I'll be heading to SEA afterwards with no return home date in…

We are planning on spending about 10 weeks in southern Africa this year and are keen to have a car so we can drive through S. Africa to Namibia, Botswana and possibly Zimbabwe.

Does anyone have recommendations for a company that will rent us a vehicle for that time which is reasonably priced and reliable? It has been suggested we might buy a cheap car and then sell it back to the vendor at the end of our time there so we're also open to ideas.

Thank you.

I'm a US citizen who has traveled to Egypt about 5 times since 2011, always obtaining my tourist visa on arrival at Cairo Airport. My last visit was in November 2014. I know that it is now possible for a USC to apply for a tourist visa in advance at an Egyptian consulate in the US. But my online research indicates it's still possible to pay $15 for a visa upon arrival at Cairo Airport if one is a USC. My question: is it still possible for a US citizen to obtain a tourist visa upon arrival at…

My husband and I will be in South Africa in September and, since we have lots of time on our hands, are considering driving from Durban to Cape Town and the Garden Route.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's done this as to how long it takes to drive and some nice places to stop along the way (for overnights as well as short visits).

Thanks

Hi Everybody,

I'm going in a few weeks and wanted to ask if I need to reserve this excursion (to Devil's Pool on Livingstone Island) in advance, or I can just show up at the last moment and book one of the trips (I think 5/day) in person.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your advice.

Just finished an overland journey which has been cut short in Nairobi and I have to fly out. I have a yamaha YBR125 in great condition to preferably sell or looking or somewhere to store it for a few moths for a good price. The bike is registered in South Africa so it would be perfect for anyone wanting to travel on it. Letting it go for a very good price as I fly out in a couple of days and would like to see it sold.

Get in touch if you're interested or have any idea where I could sell store…
