Hi there,

I'm planning to travel to Ethiopia with a friend in August/September. We are wondering how to arrange our dates to avoid continous rain in the Simien mountains.

Best fitting our schedule would be flying to Ethiiopia from Germany around August 24 and stay there for about 3 weeks. I heard most people do the circuit clockwise. Why is that? So we would stay in Addis for 2-3 days, go up to Bahir Dar, Gondar and probably get to Debark around September 1 and do a trek for a couple of days…

Hello all, I did my best to read all posts about January but still have some questions. We have 2 weeks (excluding an excursion to Nosy Be) to do the west and south. We love wild life photography, culture and cool landscapes.

We want to do the Rn 7 road south and the parks along the way as well as the route from Tana along the river to Tskingy Bemaraha and the sights in that area and maybe south to Morondava. What is a good route?

Should we do Rn7 south the Toliara first, fly back to Tana…

Hi!

We have 3 weeks in Madagascar in September. Cant wait! The start and finish bits are arranged – just need some help filling in the middle bit please.

We arrive in Antananarivo on 6 Sept and expect to spend at least 1 night, maybe 2, here. We need to be in Nosy Be for the 16th.

We were thinking of some trekking, seeing the wildlife etc. We are both fit and keen hikers / campers so up for some adventure and want to see the country as much as possible but would rather have a few settled days…

Hi, which one do you think would be better to visit in July/August this year? In terms of climate, budget, etc...

We've never been to either. But prefer warmer weather and less tourists.

Thanks! :)

Hi, I'm leaving for Uganda tomorrow to trek to the Margherita Peak, which stands at 5109m. I'm looking for travel insurance that covers both helicopter rescue and trekking to that height -- has anybody got any recommendations?

Thanks!!

Hi all,

Me and my girl are planning a trip through Morocco this summer. We will be spending some days in Fez and want to work our way down to M'hamid from there. One of the places on our list is the Todra Gorge, but I could use some advise on which route to take (much advise online is a few years old). We are renting a 2WD vehicle, so are looking for paved roads only.

Route 1: From Fez take the N8 till El Ksiba, and after that the R317 and the R703 till we get to Tinghir and have been amazed…
