My husband and I are planning a trip to Tanzania for late May/early June. We were planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for the 5 day Marangu Route followed by a 7-day safari. However, tour operators have told me different things. One told me that due to weather conditions of the rainy season they advise doing the safari first and then doing the climb in early June. Another operator said they advise doing the climb first followed by safari so that the safari does not wear us out…
It has been my second time in Ethiopia.
In this time I have been 3 weeks there and in general the situation is not bad. Except some parts of the country you can visit the rest without any kind of problems. The situation is changing day by day so it´s better to know how the different areas are when you are there.
I have visited with one friend Dire Dawa-Harar, Awassa-Arba Minch-Jinka and Omo Valley.
In Addis Ababa we have been too without any kind of problems.
I highly recommended to put in touch…

New here. I've been doing some research and have set my eyes on visiting East Africa sometime between March and June 2017. The question I have, is what good options are there for someone on a budget?
I'm a young adventurous person, I enjoy big cities and the outdoors so nothing is off limits to me for the most part. The only activity I try to avoid is laying on the beach! I just can't stand the idea of sitting on a beach somewhere exotic when I know there's so much out there to do and…
It seems as if the transport is much more difficult in Madagascar than elsewhere that we have traveled... Would anyone suggest just booking the incountry flights and winging the rest of the trip? we are going in the slow season so i would presume that we could possibly pick up a driver and tell them where to go... But it would be nice to have a guide so things run smoother and we maximize our nature and wildlife time... the tour operators dont seem to want to deviate from their canned tours.…
We're planning to explore the Cederberg area (in mid january 2017) but find it hard to find actual hiking routes information. I understood that the Wolfsberg Cracks and Maltezer Cross are nice but any suggestions to fill 5 days nicely are very welcome ! Possibly without camping? Thanks a lot for all your advice!
In the old days at Cairo airport, you could check in at the last minute and still get on board. But are there long lines now? How early should one arrive at the airport before departure for domestic flights like to Aswan? Thank you.
