Lonely Planet review

This extremely well-run resort is very popular with Australian divers, who stay here to get thrilled by the sensational dive sites right on their doorstep. The best thing is that it also appeals to honeymooners, families and kayakers. The 10 spacious wooden bungalows are comfortable, but not flash (no air-con, ordinary furnishings), and are scattered amid lovely bush gardens and coconut palms.

They're well spaced-out and have large terraces. Snorkellers will get a buzz on the house reef that spreads from the end of the short jetty. And, joy of joys, there's a beach with safe swimming. The ethos here is laid-back and activity-oriented. Perks include a bar, a breezy dining room with excellent meals, a full dive shop and a good excursion program. Boat transfers to Seghe are A$153 per person return. Three nights minimum.
