Lonely Planet review
Anchored on a steep hill with a kinky funicular that shunts people between the rooms and the reception area, this longstanding venture features a variety of spacious units scattered amid beautifully landscaped grounds and boasts a stress-melting swimming pool built into the hill. Like most hotels in Honiara, it starts to show its age but it's manageable for a couple of days.
Most bungalows are self-contained, and many rooms have an ocean view. Avoid the disappointing onsite restaurant.
Our independent authors have visited King Solomon Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Honiara.
