Getting there & away
Tour operators in Honiara organise full-day trips to Savo but we recommend staying at least two days to soak up the atmosphere. Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau in Honiara can also organise transfers (from S$500 charter one-way).
Another option is to hook onto a shared boat ride from Vila (northwest of Guadalcanal) or Honiara (S$80, about 1¾ hours). In Honiara, inquire at the little beach near the Point Cruz Yacht Club.
