If you're looking for a fix of rice or noodles, try the 'Chinese Star' on the river just south of the Old Town. Szechuan dishes, including the mapo doufu (tofu with garlic and chilli) are quite good.

This Chinese eatery opposite the Hotel Krim Bled has such favourites as hui guo rou (twice-cooked pork) and ma po doufu (spicy bean curd). They ain't exactly what you'd get in Chengdu, but this is Slovenia, after all.

Tucked away in a cellar north of Glavni trg, this friendly restaurant named after China's favourite beer has main courses such as chicken with chilli and peanuts (around €6.65). A number of set menus is available.

Ptuj's only Chinese restaurant is almost opposite the Ribič and has a fair few vegetable dishes on its menu. It's not especially authentic but if you crave noodles, you'll find them here.
