  1. Beekeeping Museum

Although it might not sound like a crowd-pleaser, the Beekeeping Museum is one of the most interesting in the country, and there's not a whole lot you won't know about things apiarian after buzzing around for an hour or so inside. The museum is housed (together with a music school) in Thurn Manor, which began life as Ortenburg Castle in the early Middle Ages but was rebuilt with a large hall on the ground floor after the earthquake of 1511.

East of Linhartov trg is the Gothic Parish Church of St Peter, a hall church modelled after the one in Kranj. 6. Šivec House

The most important house on Linhartov trg is the 16th-century Šivec House, which is an interesting hybrid: Renaissance on the outside and Gothic within. On the ground floor there is a vaulted hall, which now serves as a gallery, and on the 1st floor a wood-panelled late-Gothic drawing room with a beamed ceiling used as wedding hall. There is also a chimney-less 'black kitchen' and an interesting collection of children's book illustrations by celebrated Slovenian artists.
