Lonely Planet review for Taverna Tatjana

Looking like an old-world wooden-beamed cottage pub with a nautical theme, this is actually a rather exclusive fish restaurant with a lovely (and protected) back courtyard for the warmer months.

    WAAAAAAY too expensive for their seafood

    lckt13 does not recommend this,

    One waitperson! Excessive pricing for their seafood entrees. Other items so so. One is much better off at Julia and other dining spots in my opinion.

    Not just nautical ...

    Every kind of vaulted ceiling imaginable from brick to plaster to wood inside one of the citys favourite restaurants. Bedecked in dried flowers and folk-art tablecloths, the speciality of the house is fish, but there are plenty of other choices available including lots of traditional Slovenian grilled meat dishes and one or two vegetarian options. A good choice if youre in town for a short time and want to keep everybody happy.

    highly recomenedt to those that enjoy good food

    Rather rustic and relaxing atmosphere with a combination of remarkable service made a great impression on me. Cheerful waiters will guide you trough the menu and give you some suggestion on their specialties. In addition to the tasty food, they serve fantastic local wines. Located just few minutes walk from the city center, in the old part of town.
