The capital's most stylish Mexican restaurant has an eye-catching red-and-blue exterior and haciendalike decor, with sofas and lanterns inside. The fajitas (€7.50-€11.70) are great.

    Fun on two floors in one of the citys most popular courtyards, Cantina Mexicana is positively aglow with bright colours, strange sculptures, grass growing on the ceiling and some nice lighting tricks behind the long ground-floor bar. The food is classic Tex-Mex as youd expect, and appears to be fairly popular. If nothing else, this is one of the quirkiest and silliest places in the city centre and even if youre not hungry is well worth a visit for a drink or two.
