En situ since 1903, this is a homely pub-restaurant just down the hill from the Bledec Hostel near the castle. It offers simple Slovenian mains and grilled Balkan specialities like čevapčiči (spicy meatballs of beef or pork; around €6.65) and tasty pljeskavica z kajmakom (Serbian-style meat patties with mascarpone-like cream cheese).

    Great food, good prices and excellentatmosphere

    A group of us have spent Christmas in Bled for the past 4 years and Gostilna Pri Planincu has been a regular feature for our evening meals. The menu has something for everyone, the food is well presented and always served piping hot. The staff are really friendly and provide good service. The goulash soup is a must have during the winter months. Food is served in the restaurant to the rear of the pub or they will serve it in the small front room, which it better if they are not busy as it is more sociable.
