Getting there & away

Sea

There is currently no regular ferry service to Statia. Save for a few dive boats and the odd small ship, no cruise ships alight here. Virtually all tourist traffic arrives by airplane.

Yachts need to radio the Marine Park at VHF channel 16 or 17 as there are many protected spots around the island and there is only anchorage for about 10 yachts at a time.

Air

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Airport (EUX; 316- 2887) is Statia’s only airport. It’s tiny and currently only accommodates the Winair (318-2303; www.fly-winair.com) puddle jumpers from St-Martin/Sint Maarten.
