Modelled on the Japanese izakaya (drinking restaurant), the emphasis here is as much on boozing as it is eating – and the Japanese businessmen who come here like their booze. Sit down, order some sake and endless rounds of skewered meat, and kiss the evening goodbye. Cuppage Plaza is extremely popular with expatriate Japanese, so don’t be surprised to find yourself in a minority of one.
