'You want chicken rice?' is the stock greeting here. Say 'Yes, indeed I do!'. Two minutes later you'll be tucking into fast food that's actually worth waiting for. The mee goreng (fried noodles) is a steal at around S$4.

    Chicken Rice and various Chinese Cuisines

    Five Star is definitely the place to go for chicken rice lovers. It is not that expensive but slightly on the higher range compared to whats sold in hawker centres. It serves a wide variety of other dishes as well and they were of pretty high standard for chinese cuisines.

    The main specialty of course is the Hainanese Chicken which is tender to its very best. I like it alot, and served with the traditional cooked fragrant pandan leave rice, provides a sumptuous and satisfying treat.

    The restaurant is a must try for foreigners curious about Asian cuisines but do not want to fork out too much.
