Blue Ginger serves traditional Peranakan cuisine in a homely shophouse, enlivened by local artist Martin Loh’s striking contemporary paintings. Its claim to fame is the ayam panggang (grilled chicken in coconut milk and spices).

    Totally fall in love with the place, nice ambience (which portray expensive).

    My other half recommended. There are a total of 3 levels; 1 & 2 for walk-in or appointment. Level 3 (known as the gallery) is for event purpose.

    My first time there, we had:
    - Beef Rendang (thumbs up)
    - Ngoh Hiang (before I try Nyonya Bistro, it is good.)
    - Kueh Paiti (not bad)

    My second time, I went with my mum:
    - Beef Rendang (thumbs up)
    - Egg Plant (Fantastic!!)
    - Ngoh Hiang (quite paste-like)

    My third time, which is this afternoon:
    - Beef Rendang
    - Nonya 豆腐 (Sauce: salty preserved bean over deep fried豆腐. Can do with more sauce)
    - KangKong with sweet potato (not my liking, gravy like laksa)

    Belanchan (my fav.) not as good as Nyonya Bistro. I preferred spicy version.

    Something to note, do make an appointment if you are going during the weekends.
