Lonely Planet review for Sin Hoi Sai Eating House

Simple, cheap Cantonese is what this roadside eatery is all about. Standard-issue red plastic chairs gravitate to timber-veneer tables under a huge awning; happy diners chug beers and converse into the night.

    Good Chinese Food

    juniorgite recommends this,

They originally started in Tiong Bahru and the locals love the food as it provides basic and right up to seafood meals. The locals usually go in groups as it is value for money. Most locals usually go there during special or festive seasons and celebrate it with good meals. They also serve wines and beers that can compliment the chinese dishes. The locals call this kind of food Tze Char, you order a few dishes and eat it with steamed white rice, fried rice or noodles. Take note that some dishes can be quite spicy, so please do let them know to suit your taste buds. The menu has some very interesting food to choose from and this you have to try. The food is not Halal certified and so it's not recommended for the muslims.
The place is an outdoor area with round tables and plastic chairs. The place opens till 5am and most people after clubbing go there for supper. The staff speak simple english but they do have a menu translated to help someone understand the dishes. The food is good and the ambience is simple.
