We are planning for a self catering trip to the three main islands in October. We will bring our one year old so we would like to know about the sizes and prices in supermarkets on the islands since we plan to do all our cooking. I guess Victoria has dscent sized supermarket but what about Praslin and La Digue? When I googled I found that they opened a good sized supermarket on La Digue a year or so ago. I think it was called STC or something similiar.

Hi everyone,

I'm gonna spend about a month travelling around Rwanda and Tanzania with my wife and then I'll have about 2 weeks alone as she flies back to the US. I'm thinking about going to The Seychelles for 2 weeks but I have the feeling I'll only meet couples there. Have you encountered many single people there? I'll be there in the first two weeks of August.

Thanks!

Hello,

We are a family and have 12 days for our holiday. We decided to go both Seyshelles and Mauritius and will go in early September.
What is the optimal days for each country? We thought 6 days each.
If we spend 6 days on Seychelles how should we divide our days to islands? Our travel agent said 4 on Mahe, 1 Praslin and 1 la Digue since there are a lot waves in Praslin. We are thinking staying on Mahe and daily visit to Praslin and La Digue.
Is it true how are the waves in Praslin? I ve…

Hi everybody,

In October, my family and I will be visiting the Seychelles. We have decided to do as following:

15th-18th on Mahé.

19th-21th on Praslin.

So, 4 days on Mahé and 3 days on Praslin.

Now comes my question, as I am interested in your recommendations for excursions or activities on these two islands:

As for Mahé, we have decided to hike the mountain and see Victoria. Do you guys reckon that the botanical garden is worth seeing? - Or would you recommend anything else. Besides this…

Hello All,

Okay we have settled for Seychelles for our honeymoon, so I wanted to take your opinion about staying at some places there.

According to recommendations, we are planning to stay at Etoile Labrine (la digue) for 4 nights, Forest Lodge (mahe) for 3 nights and St. Anne Beachcomber for 3 nights. Or should we stay at Praslin instead of Mahe?

I was told that in August Seychelles has rough seas and lots of seaweed, are these places safe for swimming and have probably less seaweed…

There is an island in the Seychelles that is underwater 5 months out of the year. It has a hotel on stilts. What is its name?

Hello everybody,
next April I will enjoy a two weeks holiday to Seychelles.
I planned to visit the three main islands - Mahé, La Digue, and Praslin - but I am still uncertain about the length of my staying in each of them. I read Mahé is bigger than the others, but at the same time Praslin and La Digue seem to be richer in nature and places to visit.
If you have already been to Seychelles, can you suggest me how to subdivide the days between the three islands? I would like to enjoy my holiday as…

Hi travel team,

I am planning a trip to Seychelles in March of this year for 10-14 days. I plan to spend time on Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.

I would like to know if anyone can recommend places to stay or places to eat. I am looking for simple places on teh beach to eat seafood and relax. Comfortable, but not fancy.

Thanks!

Mike McCaffrey

I am traveling with my almost 6 year-old daughter to Seychelles. My plan is to stay the first two nights on Mahé, and then move to Praslin or La Digue for five more nights. Apparently La Digue seems to be more special and perhaps a better experience for the child. I was thinking in one of the following options:
A) Leave Mahé, in the morning, spend the day in Praslin with a rented car and take the last ferry to La Digue to stay there for the rest of the holidays.
B) Stay in Praslin and go to La…
