Hello everybody. I am doing a trip this summer with my wife, to celebrate our 10th aniversary ( only the two of us ). We are still not sure abouth thr final destination, altough now we narrowed down the choices to these three destinations ( Mauritius , Maldives, Seychelles ). So i was wandering if anyone could give your inputs on each of these destinations, regarding: quality of accomodation , prices, food, places to see, other activities, best time to go. Thanks in advance.
I'm beginning to plan out a trip to the Seychelles, for a week. My plan is to spend three days in Mahe, two in Praslin, and two in La Digue. Can anyone recommend fun/cheap (emphasis on the latter, I suppose) activities and restaurants?
We are ending our honeymoon trip in Seychelles on June 14-19th and will be staying at The H Resort in Beau Vallon . We will be landing from Cape Town at 2030 hours. We had a couple questions regarding our stay in Seychelles.
1)What would be what would be the best option for us to get from the airport to the hotel due to the fact that we will be arriving late in the evening.
2)Then once we are at the hotel we were wondering what excursions we should plan on doing. We were thinking of one day…
A friend and I will be in Mahe on 12/1 and 12/2 on a cruise ship. I have been there before and am looking for a way to snorkel away from Mahe, perhaps at St. Anne Marine National Park. I don't want to be in a group of divers, which is what I mostly find online. If anyone knows of a company that could take us out for a day or afternoon, I'd be most appreciative. Any other suggestions will be most welcome.
Few days ago we had a boat trip with Labrine charter company for celebration of our friend's birthday. When we have snorkelled around the boat, money was stolen from our bags. It was incredibly bad!! Never have a trip on Labrine (it is a big yellow boat).
I'm going to be volunteering for 3 months with a charity in the Seychelles and have been told I need to acquire a GOP visa to do this. I'll be starting in December so a while away yet, but have a potential issue getting this visa.
It requires evidence of a full medical test which I am able to get from the UK only up until April. From April, I will be living in various African countries before my start in Seychelles and not sure a) whether I will be able to find somewhere to get a full…
We are thinking about visiting Seychelles for a couple of weeks next September.
We are a family of 4 (our kids will be 11 and 8) and LOVE snorkeling.
I know corals are not as good as in the Maldives or French Polynesia, but we'd still like to give Seychelles a chance! ;-)
Ideally, we are looking for locally owned hotels/boutique hotels which accept kids and have the best snorkeling from their beach. Good local food would be a plus.
We are happy to consider any island and we are…
Landing in Mahe in a few days, I'll be staying in Beau Vallon. Trying to travel on a bit of a budget- does anyone know of a cheap way to get from the airport to Beau Vallon?
I'm looking for information about how to visit St Anne Marine National Park on my own, ideally, I wonder if it's possible to take a public boat/ferry from Mahe to the National Park, then explore/relax/snorkel by myself. Any ideas or information would be appreciated. Thank you.
I've been reading a lot about how good the bus network is on Mahe, Seychelle; and would like to ask if there are bus services on Christmas Day please? I've also been trying to find a downloadable bus-route map but without much luck, any guidance please?
Will supermarkets/food stalls/restaurants open on Christmas day?
Thanks a lot.
