No, you're not on the beach, but lovely Anse Takamaka is just a ten-minute walk away. This inviting venue offers six comfortable, shiny-clean, well-appointed villas in a secluded spot.
The whole place exudes a laid-back ambience that's typical of South Mahé. It's intimate and friendly, and appeals to couples looking for a bit of creature comforts and style without an exorbitant price tag - although it also caters to families. The villas are eclectic, spacious and welcoming, and blend perfectly into the landscaped gardens. Each is different, but all boast colourful bedspreads, high-quality tiles, well-chosen furniture (no Ikea style) and a few artistic touches, such as black and white photographs on the walls. After a long day's sightseeing, nothing beats a sundowner in the lounge by the pool. And mercifully, you can order a meal if you don't fancy cooking. As it's isolated and off the main road, you'll definitely need your own wheels. Just one downside: only two chalets have air-con.
