I've managed to organise a short stopover in Seychelles on my way to Madagascar. I've got 3 days and I'm very excited.
I was just wondering if people could help me choose where to base myself. I think my time is too short to go to a different island, so I think I will stay in Mahe.
Basically, I want the beautiful beaches- but I'm also interested in some culture - so maybe accessibility to Victoria and/or some natural spots would be great. Any recommendations would be awesome!
The best flight price I can find from SEZ to MRU Mauritius in October is 5309 Rupee about $145 US one way with Air Seychelles operated by Etihad airline any body know better
Also trying to find info on Indian Ocean Pass no luck yet
Also ferry from Mauritius to Reunion found site but couldn't find schedule or price
Tks for any help
My husband and I are planning a trip to Seychelles in December this year. We both love to dive, but also love to snorkel and love any sort of nature experience. Ideally I would like to see some of the big things - eg: rays, turtles and sharks.
Please can someone advise me of which islands / areas we should look to stay in to get the best diving and snorkeling.
First of all, this is a great forum - been looking around for a while :)
We are 28yo couple arriving to the Seychelles for vacation (we arrive from long safari/driving trip..so mainly to rest but we'll go also to the main attractions), and we have a few questions -
First of all, currently we plan to do 3 full days in Praslin and 4.5 full days in Mahe - would you suggest any different? Perhaps La Digue? the hotels in Mahe seems nicer from initial look though...we look for…
I am planning to visit the Seychelles for a not too long period of time and then fly to Madagascar. Which place or website sells the cheapest flights for this?
Usually, I don't like to plan ahead too much. However, in this case, since money matters to me, I suppose it would it be advised to buy the ticket from the Seychelles to Madagascar in advance, right? How much is the ticket if I buy it in Mahe?
Hi! We live near Cape Town and will be in Seychelles (Quincy, Mahe) for 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year. How is transportation by bus on the island of Mahé? Should we buy a pass or pay in roupies. Thanks for info. Carole
Hi everyone - I am staying one night in the Seychelles on my way to Madagascar. I want to see the giant tortoises that they have at the botanical gardens (I thought they lived on the main Island but it appears they are only at the botanical gardens). Where would you recommend to stay that is not too far from the airport or the botanical gardens.
I want to stay 3 nigts in La digue and 4 night in Praslin, and i'm having a hard time to figure out when is the best time to visit.
I want a warm weather with no rain or showers, and without seaweeds. I'v read that April and May are the best month, but when i checked the weather for May-this month, on Accuweather web, it shows that may wiil be rainy almost the entire month.
