If you can bear the kitsch seafarer's decor, this is a great place to view the ocean from cabin-style rooms perched on stilts at the edge of the ocean. A classic address for those interested in deep-sea fishing.

Fishing is the theme here - as you'll note as soon as you set foot in this bright and brash place. The colourful rooms are styled after cruise-ship cabins, and yes, that means fake bull's-eyes and all the other crimes of taste associated with that world. The seafarer's experience is made complete by the hotel's location - precariously perched on stilts above the ocean. You'll sleep with the sound of waves lapping on the shore and see enough brilliant sunsets to start finding them ho-hum. The hotel restaurant is famous across the country for its fish menu - both extensive and expensive, but absolutely worth sampling. A small private beach invites you for a dip, and a long list of boat excursions tempts you to try your luck at catching the next meal yourself.
