Getting there & away
From Ziguinchor, sept-place taxis (US$5, three hours) run directly to Kafountine. Abéné can be reached by any transport going to Kafountine, although the village is 2km off the main road, and the beach a further 2km walk. A private taxi from Kafountine will set you back US$6.
