Lonely Planet review for Black Bo’s
You can’t accuse the chef at Black Bo’s, a popular vegetarian and vegan eatery just off the Royal Mile, of being unadventurous. Check the daily specials, which are always interesting – beetroot and cashew balls stuffed with feta cheese, with chilli and garlic yogurt, for example.

fabulous choice for vege adventurers
saraspoon recommends this,
The menu at Black Bo's expands your mind in vegetarian food, whether its spicy filled filo pastries or chickpea and peanut balls, its very difficult to decide between the amazing choices. The menu is also constantly changing so regular visitors never get bored.
I usually visit on weekday evenings because its a small restaurant and there is usually only one waitress to look after 2 tables when its quiet, 8 when its busy. Sometimes this is too much for 1 waitress which is why i gave the service a lower rating, this doesn't reflect the friendliness of the staff though who are always lovely.Good for: Romance, food, Solo Travellers
