Lonely Planet review for Kitchin

Fresh, seasonal, locally sourced Scottish produce is the philosophy that has won a Michelin star for this elegant but unpretentious restaurant. The menu moves with the seasons, of course, so expect fresh salads in summer and game in winter, and shellfish dishes such as seared scallops with endive tarte tatin when there’s an ‘r’ in the month.

    Amazing!

    lindsaytolland recommends this,

Amazing is just one of the many adjectives that could be used to describe my dining experience at 'Kitchin'. From the moment my friend and I were met at the reception area with a warm welcome the service was impeccable. Wine glasses and water glasses were never empty, staff were always on hand to assist without being intrusive. Then there was the food which I could only describe as sublime. Shortly after we were seated a fantastic amuse-bouche was brought to the table followed by the most amazing artichoke soup I have ever tasted subsequent to placing our orders. Scallops to start with and hare to follow with my friend sampling the langoustine languine to start with and the teal to follow. Every mouthful contained the most amazing variety of tastes and never seemed to be the same twice. I'm not one for the desserts but I was bowled over by this also. It's an experience I will never forget. Fantastic food, fantastic service..........................GO NOW!!!
